DENTIST

Dr Leslie Padaychee BDS PDD(Paeds) MSc ( Implantology) – Principal/Partner

Leslie completed his Bachelor of Dental Science in 1993 from the University of Rand, South Africa and has been in practice for 23 yrs. He worked in two private practices and later as a Principal in his own practice. His initial interests were in oral surgery and paediatric dentistry and spent considerable time treating children and adults under general anaesthetic in hospital. In 1998, he completed his Diploma in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town.

In 1998, he moved to London to join Central Dental Care treating both NHS and private patients. In 2006, he became and Partner and Principal Dentist of Central Dental Care. He is also the Clinical Director and is responsible for ensuring latest regulations are implemented for delivering safe and effective care.

Leslie is also our resident dental implantologist providing all aspects of Implant treatment, including bone grafting, immediate implants and full mouth reconstruction. His early interest in oral surgery led him to develop an interest in Dental Implantology. He initially trained with the International Congress for Oral Implantology (ICOI) in 2004 and completed his clinical training with one of the pioneers of UK Implantology (Eddie Scher) and later at Mount Vernon Dental Specialists. In 2007, he completed, the GIFT Implant Programme under the mentorship of Stewart Harding in Harley Street. In 2010, Leslie was awarded Master of Science in Implant Dentistry (Merit) from the University of Warwick. In 2014, he completed the Advanced certificate in Soft tissue management and bone grafting from The University of Vienna.

He was previously an Honorary Clinical Supervisor and Mentor for the Warwick Implant Training Programme. He previously worked with Martin Delahaye at his Harley Street Practice providing case planning and surgical placements of dental implants. He is a member of the Academy of Dental Implantology (UK).

Other Skills and Interests

Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)

He has extensive training and skill in orthograde and surgical endodontics treating more complex cases using state of the art equipment.

He is also a Certified Laser Dentist and trained with the British Institute of Laser Density. Lasers have many uses in dentistry such as treatment of gum disease and other surgical procedures which are less invasive and more effective than conventional procedures.

Leslie is a certified Dental Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner and trained at the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis. He is Registered with the General Hypnotherapy Council. He assimilates this skill in practice treating anxious or phobic patients and for other behavioural conditions.

He likes athletics, badminton, loves cooking and spending time with his family. He and his family are involved with numerous charities both locally and internationally, and finds immense joy in helping others.


Dr Omar Bhutta BDS, M.Clin.Dent (Prosthodontics) London – Partner (GDC number 78834)

Omar Bhutta graduated from Kings College London in the year 2000. Following completion of vocational training he moved to London and became an associate at Central Dental Care, becoming a partner in the practice in 2006.

Omar has worked as a clinical assistant at Kings College London from 2003-2004 helping teach dental undergraduates primary dental care.

Omar is Central Dental Care’s Human Resources Director and oversees the management and development of the dental team, incorporating their training and continuous assessment and ensuring they are always up to date with the latest techniques and have knowledge of the latest developments in dentistry.

Omar was appointed to the General Dental Council’s Fitness to Practice Panel in 2015

Omar completed his Masters in Clinical Dentistry in 2016 obtaining an M.Clin.Dent from King’s College London in fixed and removable prosthodontics.

Omar has also worked for the homeless charity Crisis and the children’s charity Smiles for Romania.


Dr Martin Delahaye BSc BDS LDSRCS – Associate (GDC number 52693)

martinMartin Delahaye qualified from Guys Hospital in 1978 and then from the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng) in 1979. He entered dentistry as a graduate with a degree in Biochemistry and Physiology.

He is the principal of practices in Harley Street and Wembley and is managing director of both. With a special interest in practice management he is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Confederation of Dental Employers and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

In addition, he is a founder of Harley Street Direct Ltd., an umbrella organisation that provides support to all West End clinicians in the field of clinical governance and practice compliance.

In June 2004 the practice team won an Investors in People Award with Martin as their champion.


Dr Ahmed Din BDS (Birm) Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) MOrth RCS (Eng)

martinDr Ahmed Riaz Din qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2011 having been awarded the Walpole Day prize in Orthodontics, Charles Greene prize in Oral Surgery along with the award in Aesthetics Special Study Module. After graduating he worked as a dental core trainee in oral and maxillofacial surgery in three units including the prestigious Royal London Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Ahmed has been appointed to undertake his consultant training in Orthodontics at The Royal London Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital. He previously completed his specialty training in Orthodontics at The Royal London Hospital and has now been awarded the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Concurrently, Ahmed undertook a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics at Queen Marys University.

He has published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at international conferences, his thesis research project looking at the neurosensory changes following jaw surgery. Ahmed continues to teach post-graduates and under-graduate dental students throughout his training.
Outside of dentistry Ahmed is a keen CrossFit athlete and likes to travel the world for its cuisines.


Dr. Shivana Anand BDS (Lon) MJDF RCS (Lon) GDC (251507)

Shivana qualified as a dentist from Guys Kings St Thomas in London where she is now doing her Masters in Clinical Dentistry specialising in Prosthodontics. After qualifying she did a year of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with The Eastman Dental hospital.

She is an honourary lecturer at Kings College London and also hosts annual courses helping final year dental students prepare for life after university. Shivana has also written the first of its kind guidebook on the subject of a dental students final year interview.

Shivana has made her mark on the dental industry with regular contributions to dental journals and magazines. She has received several awards including Dentistry FMC Fast Track4 which accredits innovative new dentists and ‘Dental Prodigy’ at the Dental Showcase. She was also shortlisted for the Best Young Dentist award at the Dental Showcase.

Dr Anand believes in supporting charity and is an ambassador for the Dental Wellness Trust. She has travelled to Ghana to help set up a dental camp to teach children the importance of brushing their teeth and that good oral health can improve their overall well being. She was also the UK director for charity Global Brigades which set up health camps like this all over the world.

Dr Usamah Malik BDS (Lond) MFDS (RCS Ed) GDC ( 251494)

Usamah qualified from King’s College London in 2014 and he completed his vocational training year in Dereham, Norfolk. He then carried out a further training year in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Mid Essex Hospital Trust. He is a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry particularly the oral surgery and restorative aspects. Usamah believes strongly that prevention is better than cure and is extremely passionate in providing the best patient care by taking a holistic and preventative approach.

Usamah treats patients both privately and provides routine NHS care.

HYGIENIST

Agnieszks Germanska

Aggie qualified as a general nurse in Poland. She joined CDC in 2007 and subsequently obtained her National Certificate for Dental Nurses in 2008. Aggie found that CDC provided her with an opportunity to develop her professional skills in a friendly atmosphere and provide her with a basis to further her dental education. She obtained her degree in Hygiene and Dental Therapy from King’s Dental Institute in 2013 and re-joined CDC as our hygienist and dental therapist. Aggie has a passion for, and is dedicated to caring for, and teaching patients onimproving their dental health. When she is not at the practice, Aggie enjoys gardening and music.

Kritee Bajracharya
BSc(Hons) Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy GDC (193247)

Kritee joined CDC as a trainee dental Nurse and after few years that she was a qualified dental nurse she was promoted Head Nurse.
She then left CDC in 2013 to pursue her studies in Dental hygiene and Dental therapy.
Kritee qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist from the University of Portsmouth in 2016 with a first class honours degree.
After her qualification she joined back CDC and provides dental hygiene care to the patient. She believes prevention is better than cure hence she always focuses on giving oral hygiene education to patients.
In her spare time she likes to socialise with friends and family, loves to play with her cat and likes to Kritee joined CDC as a trainee dental Nurse and after few years that she was a qualified dental nurse she was promoted Head Nurse.

NURSES

Jigna Raja

Jigna used to work with Dr. Sadia Kayani at 251 Kenton Road, and moved up to Central Dental Care, when the practice joined CDC in December 2011. She is now an important and integral member of Central Dental Care and Dental Nursing Certiicate in 2012.


Lalith Dissanayaka

Lalith has been with Central Dental Care for 3 years and is our infection control nurse for both practices.


Jasmina Krzanowska

Jasmina joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2012, and additionally, stepped into a receptionist role. We are very proud that Jasmina has received her NEBDN certficate in July 2014. Away from work, Jasmina loves to spend time with her family and enjoys watching football and speedway.


 Elena Maftei

Elena joined the practice in Spring 2014 as a trainee dental nurse.
