Martin Delahaye qualified from Guys Hospital in 1978 and then from the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng) in 1979. He entered dentistry as a graduate with a degree in Biochemistry and Physiology.
He is the principal of practices in Harley Street and Wembley and is managing director of both. With a special interest in practice management he is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Confederation of Dental Employers and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
In addition, he is a founder of Harley Street Direct Ltd., an umbrella organisation that provides support to all West End clinicians in the field of clinical governance and practice compliance.
In June 2004 the practice team won an Investors in People Award with Martin as their champion.
Leslie completed his Bachelor of Dental Science in 1993 from the University of Rand, South Africa and has been in practice for 23 yrs. He worked in two private practices and later as a Principal in his own practice. His initial interests were in oral surgery and paediatric dentistry and spent considerable time treating children and adults under general anaesthetic in hospital. In 1998, he completed his Diploma in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
In 1998, he moved to London to join Central Dental Care treating both NHS and private patients. In 2006, he became and Partner and Principal Dentist of Central Dental Care. He is also the Clinical Director and is responsible for ensuring latest regulations are implemented for delivering safe and effective care.
Leslie is also our resident dental implantologist providing all aspects of Implant treatment, including bone grafting, immediate implants and full mouth reconstruction. His early interest in oral surgery led him to develop an interest in Dental Implantology. He initially trained with the International Congress for Oral Implantology (ICOI) in 2004 and completed his clinical training with one of the pioneers of UK Implantology (Eddie Scher) and later at Mount Vernon Dental Specialists. In 2007, he completed, the GIFT Implant Programme under the mentorship of Stewart Harding in Harley Street. In 2010, Leslie was awarded Master of Science in Implant Dentistry (Merit) from the University of Warwick. In 2014, he completed the Advanced certificate in Soft tissue management and bone grafting from The University of Vienna.
He is now also an Honorary Clinical Supervisor and Mentor for the Warwick Implant Training Programme. He previously worked with Martin Delahaye at his Harley Street Practice providing case planning and surgical placements of dental implants. He is a member of the Academy of Dental Implantology (UK).
Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)
He has extensive training and skill in orthograde and surgical endodontics treating more complex cases using state of the art equipment.
He is also a Certified Laser Dentist and trained with the British Institute of Laser Density. Lasers have many uses in dentistry such as treatment of gum disease and other surgical procedures which are less invasive and more effective than conventional procedures.
Leslie is a certified Dental Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner and trained at the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis. He is Registered with the General Hypnotherapy Council. He assimilates this skill in practice treating anxious or phobic patients and for other behavioural conditions.
He likes athletics, badminton, loves cooking and spending time with his family. He and his family are involved with numerous charities both locally and internationally, and finds immense joy in helping others.
Omar Bhutta graduated from Kings College London in the year 2000. Following completion of vocational training he moved to London and became an associate at Central Dental Care, becoming a partner in the practice in 2006.
Omar has worked as a clinical assistant at Kings College London from 2003-2004 helping teach dental undergraduates primary dental care.
Omar is Central Dental Care’s Human Resources Director and oversees the management and development of the dental team, incorporating their training and continuous assessment and ensuring they are always up to date with the latest techniques and have knowledge of the latest developments in dentistry.
Omar was appointed to the General Dental Council’s Fitness to Practice Panel in 2015
Omar completed his Masters in Clinical Dentistry in 2016 obtaining an M.Clin.Dent from King’s College London in fixed and removable prosthodontics.
Omar has also worked for the homeless charity Crisis and the children’s charity Smiles for Romania.
Preeti completed her BDS from Glasgow University, then undertook 2 years of Oral & Maxillofacial house jobs prior to starting Orthodontic specialist training. Preeti moved to London from Glasgow in 2011, to study Orthodontics at the Royal London Dental Hospital and at Northwick Park Hospital. She undertook a Masters in Orthodontics and subsequently sat her M.Orth exam at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2014, allowing her to join the General Dental Council’s Specialist List in Orthodontics.
She went on to do further training at the Royal London and Great Ormond Street Hospitals, passing her ISFE exam this year, allowing her to become a Consultant Orthodontist and in June 2017 she was appointed Consultant Orthodontist at Queen Mary’s University of London She has a keen interest in teaching and research, working with dental undergraduates and post-graduates at Queen Mary’s University of London. She is a member of the British Orthodontic Society, European Orthodontic Society and the Craniofacial Society. Preeti has extensive experience in managing complex orthodontic and orthognathic cases as well using cosmetic orthodontic systems, such as Invisalign. Her orthodontic interests lie in the aesthetic treatment of patients of all age ranges.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, cooking and attending Arsenal games with her husband Neil.
Aggie qualified as a general nurse in Poland. She joined CDC in 2007 and subsequently obtained her National Certificate for Dental Nurses in 2008. Aggie found that CDC provided her with an opportunity to develop her professional skills in a friendly atmosphere and provide her with a basis to further her dental education. She obtained her degree in Hygiene and Dental Therapy from King’s Dental Institute in 2013 and re-joined CDC as our hygienist and dental therapist. Aggie has a passion for, and is dedicated to caring for, and teaching patients onimproving their dental health. When she is not at the practice, Aggie enjoys gardening and music.
Weronika is head nurse and came to CDC 3 years ago. She enjoys nursing with the partners and associates alike. In addition to being a fully qualified dental nurse, she has recently received her Fluoride application, Impression taking and Oral Hygiene certificates. She is also involved in our stock management. Weronika mentors qualified and trainee nurses on a regular basis and works with Dr. Leslie Padayachee, our Clinical Director and Lalith Dissanayaka, our Infection Control Nurse, to ensure that all staff at CDC follow GDC, CQC and HTM guidelines.
Jigna used to work with Dr. Sadia Kayani at 251 Kenton Road, and moved up to Central Dental Care, when the practice joined CDC in December 2011. She is now an important and integral member of Central Dental Care and Dental Nursing Certiicate in 2012.
Lalith has been with Central Dental Care for 3 years and is our infection control nurse for both practices.
Jasmina joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2012, and additionally, stepped into a receptionist role. We are very proud that Jasmina has received her NEBDN certficate in July 2014. Away from work, Jasmina loves to spend time with her family and enjoys watching football and speedway.
Elena joined the practice in Spring 2014 as a trainee dental nurse.
