Quality AssuranceCentral Dental Care recognizes the benefits that improving quality achieves and has set up quality controls that will be constantly reviewed, revised and up-graded where necessary. Dr Leslie Padayachee is our clinical director and leads the team in all aspects of clinical governance. He is also our champion for the BDA Good Practice award, which is our next challenge!Quality of service extends from the partners’ approach to the administrative and financial running of the business, through to the professional manner in which patients are cared for by the dental team.The Quality Assurance System used in the practice is called "Clinical Governance Made Simple" and is a product from the Confederation of Dental Employers of which partner Dr Martin Delahaye is Chairman of the Advisory Board.Quality standards are being put in place for all staff and these are being collated over the next year into a good practice manual, as part of Central Dental Care’s standard training procedures. This will ensure standardization of procedures and to provide a baseline upon which good practice can be made even better.Central Dental Care has made a commitment to the Investor in People standard as a demonstration of its commitment to quality through developing people. We won the award in June 2004 and were presented with our Certificate at a ceremony at the Royal Society of Medicine in September. All the team attended. Since then Dr Omar Bhutta has been the champion and won the award again against a very high standard. |
